Flow meter oval gear meter 50l/min – OG4

The OG4 oval gear flowmeter is a compact, robust flowmeter offering high performance with low operating costs. It is capable of measuring flow rates from 0.25 to 50 l/min for 30 cSt oil and 2,5 to 50 l/min for water-like liquids. This meter can have fully non-metallic wetted components, including PEEK, ceramic, and an elastomer, making it an ideal choice for measuring aggressive chemicals. For OEM applications, alternative mounting options, including manifold installations, are available. The standard models come with bodies made of 316 stainless steel or PEEK and Viton® O-ring seals.
Inside the meter, there are two toothed oval gears, one of which contains chemically resistant magnets. The liquid to be measured flows through a measuring chamber, causing the oval gears to rotate. An integrated Hall sensor detects the flow-proportional rotational speed of the gears through the chamber wall. Alternatively, the rotation can be detected by a Namur sensor or a reed switch, producing approximately 115 pulses per liter. The resulting pressure loss is very low due to the special gear geometry. Excellent starting behavior allows measurements close to zero flow.
The OG4 measures the flow rate precisely regardless of changes in viscosity and temperature. Installation of the flowmeter is simple and space-saving, as no upstream straightener is required. The signal output is either an NPN pulse or a voltage-free contact, allowing easy integration with most electronic display or recording devices. This combination of materials and technology ensures a long-life product with reliable and accurate operation.
