The differential pressure sensor PV2722H is equipped with a piezoresistive differential pressure measuring element and an integrated temperature sensor. The measuring element is protected on both sides by a process membrane made of stainless steel 1.4435 and is hermetically welded to pressure connections made of stainless steel 1.4404 without seals. Media that are compatible with these types of stainless steel can be reliably measured on both sides. The compact size of approximately 70 mm allows for differential pressure measurements in installation points with limited space. Extensive aging ensures excellent long-term stability of ≤0.2%. Linearization and temperature compensation are performed via an integrated microprocessor. The PV2722H is designed for a temperature ranges of -20°C to 80°C. The total error, including temperature influence within the compensated temperature range, is +/-0.5%. The analog signal path enables fast measurements with high resolution. The response time is 1 ms, allowing for the detection of dynamic pressure changes, for example, in measuring orifices or heat exchangers. The application field of leakage testing requires particularly high signal resolution. PV2722H pressure sensors are used here to detect pressure drops of just a few pascals. The output signals of 0 to 10 volts or 1 to 6 volts are used where the signal is only transmitted over short distances, making any voltage drop due to the wiring negligible. The current consumption is only 3.5 mA, which is especially advantageous when operating multiple measuring points or using battery-powered voltage supplies.
