Advantages of the PV2722
Design and function of the differential pressure sensor PV2722
Equipped with a piezoresistive sensor element and integrated temperature measurement, the PV2722 ensures reliable differential pressure readings. The measuring element is protected on both sides by a process diaphragm made of stainless steel 1.4435 and welded without seals to pressure connections made of stainless steel 1.4404. A very good long-term stability of ≤0.2% is achieved through extensive ageing. The pressure sensor determines the differential pressure physically by applying the positive and negative sides to a piezoresistive pressure measuring cell.
Compatibility with existing applications
The PV2722 differential pressure sensor offers flexible connection options and output signals (0 to 5 V; 1 to 6 V or 0 to 10 V), which facilitates integration into existing systems. Application-specific connections and output signals can also be added on request.
Our differential pressure sensor is durable and low-maintenance
Thanks to the use of stainless steel, the sensor is durable and protected against corrosion. The materials used and the stable design allow the sensor to be used intensively for a long time. An excellent long-term stability of ≤0.2% is achieved through extensive ageing measures. Our differential pressure sensors are calibrated by default.
The ideal differential pressure sensor for small installation spaces
The small size of approx. 70 mm of the PV2722 allows it to be used even in confined installation spaces. With a diameter of just 27 mm, the differential pressure sensor takes up hardly any space in your application.
Various application scenarios for the differential pressure sensor
Filter monitoring in production plants
Used in industrial filtration systems, these sensors detect real-time filter contamination by measuring pressure differences between inlet and outlet. They measure the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet side of the filter. An increasing differential pressure signals increasing clogging, which indicates that the filter needs to be changed or cleaned. This enables predictive maintenance, reduces unplanned downtime and optimizes system performance and energy efficiency.
Test stands for pumps and valves
Differential pressure sensors play a central role in test stands for pumps and valves, as they precisely measure pressure differences between the inlet and outlet sides. This is crucial for testing the performance, tightness and efficiency of components under realistic operating conditions. By continuously recording and analyzing the pressure difference, leaks, flow resistance and malfunctions can be detected at an early stage. In automated test systems, they enable fast and reliable quality control, which optimizes development and production processes.
Monitoring of pressure losses
Differential pressure sensors are used in hydraulic systems to detect leaks at an early stage. They measure the pressure difference between two points in the system and detect deviations that indicate an unwanted drop in pressure due to leaks. Even small losses lead to changes in pressure values, allowing maintenance teams to react quickly before major damage or malfunctions occur. These sensors increase operational safety, reduce downtime and help to avoid expensive repairs.
