The pressure sensor PV25H is equipped with a piezoresistive measuring element and an integrated temperature sensor. The measuring element is protected by a process membrane made of stainless steel 1.4435 and is hermetically welded to a pressure connection made of stainless steel 1.4404 without the need for seals. Media that are compatible with these stainless steels can be measured reliably and consistently over long periods. Extensive aging processes ensure excellent long-term stability of ≤0.1%. Linearization and compensation over the temperature range of -20°C to +80°C are managed by an integrated microprocessor. The highest accuracy is +/-0.02%, and the total error, including temperature effects, is +/-0.25%. The analog signal path allows for fast measurements with high resolution, and the response time is 0.5 ms. This makes it possible to measure dynamic pressure variations, such as those in a hydraulic press. In leakage testing, a particularly high signal resolution is required, and PV25H pressure sensors are used to detect pressure drops of just a few pascals. The PV25H pressure sensor can operate within a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C. Its IP65 protection rating and ability to function at temperatures as low as -20°C ensure reliable operation in machines and systems located outdoors. The output signals of 0 to 5 volts or 0 to 10 volts are used in applications where the signal is transmitted over short distances, making any voltage drop due to the cable negligible. The power consumption is only 3.5 mA, which offers advantages, especially when operating multiple measurement points or in battery-supported power supply systems.
