Pressure sensors Brake / road tests

Miniature sensor for measuring the dosing capability and constancy of the brake pressure

Regardless of whether vehicles are powered by combustion engines, hybrids or electric drives, every vehicle must be braked as reliably and safely as possible. In addition to electrical recuperation, this is done via hydraulic brakes.

Vehicle and component developers will continue to develop new systems and improve existing braking systems in the future.

Ultimately, every braking system must be tested and inspected both on the test bench and on road test. An important parameter here is the dosing capability and constancy of the brake pressure.

In order to measure this brake pressure under all adverse conditions as close as possible to the brake caliper, DDM has developed the PV15B brake pressure sensor. The PV15B is small and lightweight, as well as vibration and temperature resistant, so it can do the job reliably and steadily. The burst pressure of the PV15B is more than 400 bar, so the brake line remains pressure-resistant under any stress.
